Representative of Sarajevo International Airport, Vahidin Zukanović – Safety Manager, Participated in the “Workshop on Aerodrome Safety Management and Oversight”
Vahidin Zukanović, Safety Manager at Sarajevo International Airport, took part in the workshop titled “Workshop on Aerodrome Safety Management and Oversight”, held from September 2 to 5, 2025, at the headquarters of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) in Banja Luka.
The workshop was organized by BHDCA in cooperation with the Regional Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO EUR/NAT) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The aim of the workshop was to enhance subregional cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices in the supervision of aerodrome safety and aerodrome ground infrastructure (AGA). During the workshop, priority topics from ICAO’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) were addressed, with a special focus on areas with the lowest levels of effective implementation. Additionally, participating countries were supported in reviewing and improving the implementation of their Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
